A Once in a Lifetime European Cruise Experience by John Steele

I think it's true to say that almost everyone would like to go on a cruise at least once in their lives. Not that long ago, perhaps fewer than 20 years ago, cruise vacations were the domain of the very rich and were not usually available to the normal working man or woman.

These days however, cruise prices have come down amazingly in cost, but unfortunately this doesn't mean that a European cruise is cheap, they still cost quite a lot, however if you do some of searching around and research there are some great cruise discounts and deals available that can bring a cruise into the price range of most peoples holiday budgets. Knowing where to look is the first step in getting a good European cruise deal, that and budgeting correctly.

A good place to start is by opening up your internet browser and doing some simple research with a search engine, there are plenty of companies online that will offer you discounted cruise deals, but as a caveat, you should always be dubious of buying European cruises online and make sure that you deal with reputable firms or perhaps firms that you have had personally recommended to you not just from an internet posting.

By using this simple technique you can quickly put together a short list of all the best deals available.

The main rule of thumb for acquiring a good value cheap cruise is being flexible; the second rule is being flexible. Of course the third rule is; you guessed it, being flexible. To get the best European cruise deal you will need to compromise on some of the things you want. If you can do this then you will always get a good deal.

If you are flexible, this may include travelling a bit further to meet your cruise ship or last minute bookings will save you some money. Also the cabin you are allocated may not be in the best position, perhaps it won't have a balcony view, by being on an inner corridor.

This will almost certainly reduce the cost of the cruise deal at the same time. On this point, watch out for last minute upgrades, sometimes cruise lines will offer an upgrade to a more agreeable accommodation a few weeks before the ship sails, so you might be able to get yourself a deal this way.

If you choose an off-peak cruise you are much more likely to get a better cruise deal than otherwise.

Make sure though that you will get good value from the places you visit at those times of the year, no doubt it will be still a fantastic cruise and the destinations may not be quite as busy or hot at these time, which you may well prefer.

All in all there a many different ways to get a better deal on a European cruise, just try to be flexible.

Cruise Reviews Are Valuable Tools Every Cruise Traveler Can Use by Jules Harington

Getting an honest opinion on a cruise you're interested in taking can be just what the doctor ordered. Sometimes you need answers to questions that maybe the cruise lines haven't thought of, or you may just want to know which cabins offer the best view, or which dining plans are more suited to your particular palate. No matter how miniscule or crazy the questions you have are, using cruise reviews can help you put your mind at ease by providing you answers from travelers who are just like you.
Cruise reviews are written by everyday travelers who want to share their opinions, experiences, and advice on the cruises they have taken. They can provide valuable insight into what to do, what not to do, help you know what to expect, and warn you of potential problems or hazards you may run into. While these reviews are written by actual travelers, it is important that you remember that they are opinion-based and reflect individual experiences, and are not necessarily a rule of thumb.
Getting the most out of any cruise review requires that you:
Try to limit your search for cruise reviews: While you may want to travel to the Caribbean, you'll find yourself overwhelmed and the victim of information overload if you try to read about every cruise carrier that travels to the Caribbean. Narrow down your search to your top choices.
Read about the good and the bad: Let's face it, we all have bad days and experiences, and so do travelers. In order to get a fair and accurate picture of a cruise company or ship, it's important that you give a fair amount of credence to both the good and bad things that you may read. Although we'd like to believe that companies don't make mistakes, sometimes they do, but that doesn't mean they always will or that the mistakes made were intentional.
Pay attention to the tips you may be given-The whole point of using the cruise reviews is to find information you may not be able to find elsewhere. Pay attention to the nuggets of advice that travelers may offer on finding travel discounts, getting upgrades, which activities and shows are best, etc. Take notes and create your own rating system if it will help.
Cruise reviews provide an easy way for travelers to share their experience and knowledge on cruise travel.

Reduction in Royal Caribbean International

Royal Caribbean International has decided to reduce its capacity for Alaska in 2010. The cut down of the capacity will be for about 35%.

In 2010 "MS Serenade of the Seas" will not sail out of Vancouver as planned. With this reduction the capacity of this line will decrease by 40 000 passengers.

This reduction is due to relatively high costs to the company and also to expansion into global market.

In 2009 Royal Caribbean International will sail with three ships (MS Radiance of the Seas, MS Rhapsody of the Seas and Serenade of the Seas) in Alaska accounting 120 000 passengers.

Carnival Cruise Lines Overview

Carnival Cruise Line is a cruise line that owns and runs a large number of cruise ships. The company was initially started by Ted Arison in 1972 which he later expanded for it to today become a branded division that is now a public trading company. The company came to be known as Carnival Corporation & plc that acquired a huge number of cruise brands.

Carnival Cruise Line were the first to initiate a cruises that covered short distances and were hence more pocket friendly. The interior of the ships look like they are out of a Las Vegas casino and the entertainment on board these ships match the same. The cruise liner calls its fleet of ships as "The Fun Ships". As the name suggests the ships offer a wide range of entertainment and activities on board. The smoke stack or the funnel that is painted in red, white and blue color and is shaped like a whale's tail is the trademark of the cruise line.

"Fun ship Freddy", is the mascot for the Carnival cruise line and is shaped like the funnel. Carnival Destiny, a passenger ship of 101,000 tones was one of the largest passenger ships in the world in the 1996. Currently, one of the latest and largest liners of the Carnival fleet is the Carnival splendor. There are also two bigger ships, Carnival Dream and Carnival Magic that are under construction and will be unveiled in the next year or so.

Carnival Cruise Line claims that from the beginning they have built their ships with a single intention, i.e. to make sure that every time a passenger wakes up and walks its gangway they should feel like they are boarding the U.S.S Fun. In the past 40 years they have only aimed at making their liners fun to be in. Their goal is to see every passenger go home smiling after an incredible vacation. by Jackson Lee
